Lent 2024 – Soup, Bread, & the Gospel of Mark

The Gospel of Mark: A Beginner’s Guide to the Good News by Amy-Jill Levine

Four Thursdays, February 22nd, 29th, March 7th, and March 21st starting at 6 PM

Amy-Jill Levine, an internationally renowned scholar and teacher, describers herself as “an unorthodox member of an Orthodox synagogue and a Yankee Jewish feminist, who, until 2021, taught New Testament in a Christian divinity school in the buckle of the Bible Belt.”

Participants are asked to obtain their own copies of the book, available online for $15. Do not let cost keep you from participating; the parish can provide. Please let Fr. John know, who will hold it in strict confidence.

You need not register to participate — just show up! If you would like to bring bread and/or soup, please call the office (610-746-3910) or see the sign-up sheet in the church hall.
