It’s been a joy to participate in the life of this parish. I have been a part of this parish and you will always be a part of my life and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
On Sunday, May 1st, Bill Stewart completed his Field Education assignment at St. Brigid’s for his graduation requirement for graduation from Lancaster Moravian Seminary. He now looks forward to his ordination to the transient deaconate at the Cathedral Church of the Nativity on June 3rd at 11am; his ordination to the priesthood will follow after a six-month period.
Bill provided the homily for his last Sunday and then offered thanks during the announcements. He thanked his lay committee for its feedback which has helped him to grow in his journey and Fr. John for his supervision and depth of experience. He cited the support of his wife, Peggy. He thanked the diocese which, through a New Ministry Grant, eliminated the expense of his travel for himself and the parish.
We assist Bill with our prayers as he interviews with two different parishes, one of which he will serve as deacon and then priest-in-charge.
